Ticket stubs are magical in their own way. I've been collecting essentially every ticket stub of mine since I was eleven. There are tickets from Disneyland, the Amtrak I took to visit my best friend, the London Underground, movie tickets so old you can't even read them anymore. They hold special memories, some of them. Like the one from Mean Girls. I saw it with my mom in a theater that doesn't exist anymore that only had four screens, and told all of my friends about it the next day before school. Or the one from the midnight showing of Sweeney Todd, which Missy and I left a party to go see.
This particular ticket, however, is my favorite. As I was transferring my ticket collection from a tin to this mason jar, I came across this and squealed a little. This was the day I met Matt. None of us wanted to see Because I Said So, but were too young to get into The Number 23, and we bonded over ranting about how bad Because I Said So was.
Little memories like that are special. It's not even that the memory of that day is all that vivid in the first place, since it was five years ago, but the ticket stub definitely jogged a few little images I never would have remembered otherwise!
Do you collect anything?

I love collecting cinema tickets and all my tickets in and around london, sometimes they get lost as I use them for bookmarks. Whenever I see the date of the ticket or the destination it makes me stop and remember the fun and memories of the trip :) Glad to know someone else collects tickets too - might have to move mine into a nice jar like this :).... I have just discovered your blog and I really like it - check out mine if you fancy it
