Absence!

Where the heck have I been? Buried in stuff to do!

Aside from knitting, including a Mother's Day present and a giant scarf for my Bilbo Baggins cosplay/costume (Halloween and The Hobbit midnight showing),

it's progressed further now actually but I ran out of brown yarn, le sad, but giant scarf is giant!

I've been doing some reading,

I really like Emily Giffin's writing and it's a nice style to read when I'm otherwise buried in lit assignments. Her characters are likeable, the stories are good and somehow make for pageturners, and I enjoyed Something Borrowed so much that I decided to read this! Summer I'm tackling the Lord of the Rings series, since I fell in love with The Hobbit! Also Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

drinking a whole lot of my own tea blends based on the series Once Upon a Time (available here),

freaking out over cutting my own bangs for the first time,

Not too shabby (even unstyled, like the pic!)! Also like my sweet house sweater? I freaking love it. One of my thrifty finds that I tried on and it was just so cozy I couldn't part with it!

setting up a NEW COMPUTER (I know, what????? My parents are the sweetest people. Dad wanted to upgrade me and use my old laptop for recording when he's on tour, huzzah! Talk about awesome. I'm still in shock. They got a great deal on it, luckily, so hello gorgeous Macbook Air!),

fangirling about Jon Hamm on 30 Rock, since he and Tina Fey are my Superman/Lois Lane dreamcast but that'll never happen... so this is close enough!

large fangirl tears

enjoying some freaky clouds (thanks, random cold spat! Please stay!),

and doing silly tasks around the house like transplanting my cactus!

Besides all that madness, I've just been crazy busy with school and things! Plus, in my free time, I didn't really have anything interesting to post about. So we'll call this a catch-up post, if you will!

I'm sure this blog will become a lot more regular once I move to Monterey for school, but I'll try to post more often on here in general. There, I'll always have my camera on hand and LOVELY things to take pictures of (have you seen Monterey? Everything is pretty there, even parking lots [as you can see in the above photo!]). Heck, if I get this job I'm working on situating myself into for the summer, I'll certainly be doing a lot more interesting things! There just really isn't a whole lot going on in my life at the moment... everything I'm doing right now is leading up to the exciting things!

Besides, I've been trying to focus on school and passing statistics (my other two classes are essentially guaranteed A's, if I continue doing what I'm doing), so I've been caught up in getting myself organized and getting down to business.
