Boy, it has been a busy few weeks!

Helloooo there! I hope you've had a lovely holiday season. I certainly have! I spent Christmas Eve with Matt's family, then went to visit my own for dessert!
Our Christmas tree! Sooo many presents!
I received so many lovely gifts! I even got my own guitar, and Matt's mom crocheted me a BEAUTIFUL blue and white scarf! It's sooo soft and warm; I absolutely adore it!
The best part of Christmas, though, was showing up at Matt's that evening and having him be so happy to see me. It was really sweet, and made me feel so good. He said I made his day. Aww! Our parents got along well, too!
This week has been busy busy busy! Tuesday night, I went to Matt's to watch the DVD he bought me for Christmas, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. If you haven't seen it and you like imaginative, interesting films, that's an excellent one!
I also went to the movies twice this week, as I have a gift card (best gift ever!). I saw Tangled for the third time, and Matt and I went to see Tron: Legacy, which was good. I want to go see Black Swan really bad, too, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to go.
I've been spending as much time as possible with Matt, as he leaves to go back to school soon. I'm going to miss him soooo much :( But we've had a lot of fun while he's been here!
Thursday night we saw Tron, stopped at Sagebrush, then went into Palmdale so I could pick up American Gods by Neil Gaiman and Sleepless in Seattle (DVD). We went on an epic hunt in Barnes & Noble for Hunter S. Thompson and found him in the Contemporary Issues section or something like that. What? I think they need a little help with their organization.
On the way home, Matt missed the turn I told him to take to go to my house. He said "Oops. Well, who knows, maybe we avoided a horrible accident!" About two minutes later, we hit black ice, swerved into oncoming traffic, swerved back and nearly hit a parked SUV, and then he got control of the vehicle back. It was scary and we were both pretty shaky, but we had stew and Coca-Cola at my house and calmed down. I've never come that close to being in an accident, but clearly I am in very good hands with Matt.
Friday we went to a New Year's party at our friend Missy's house. There were a ton of people so it was a little crazy. Highlights of the night were getting to dress up as Rapunzel and seeing Matt dressed as Dexter (in the kill shirt I bought him that looks fantastic on him), bacon on our Domino's pizza, and my very first New Year's kiss from someone I actually love who loves me. It was fun!
1, 2, 3, start the fucking movie!
3, 2, 1, forget the movie, start the fucking!
Last night we went to Rocky Horror in Santa Monica. It was crazy, as usual. My favorite part is always the dinner sequence, just because someone in the cast always comes up and says "This is the most boring scene in the movie so you should just all start making out with the person next to you." Haha! I'm getting to the point where I know some of the callbacks besides the usual "Asshole!" and "Slut!" whenever Brad and Janet introduce themselves.
We only had one "virgin" in our large group, but there were a ton of them there and many of the ones that were there for their birthday were turning fourteen or fifteen! The emcee was like, "There are so many kids here tonight! I mean, you do know this is a movie about a transvestite who creates a man to have sex with, right? We're not showing Tangled!"
On the way back I fell asleep. According to Matt, I was "out cold" on his shoulder. He drove me home, and I fell asleep right after he let me know he was home safe.
Today I woke up to a text from Matt: "It's snowing!"
Sure enough, it's been lightly snowing all morning and I'm just hoping it sticks so I can go to Matt's and run around in it and throw snow in his face and all that other awesome stuff. Besides that, nothing is really going on today besides filling in the FAFSA for this year (booooring) and reading American Gods.
Hope everyone is having a lovely holiday!
