This is me, dressed in my Gryffindor colors for Harry Potter 7. :)
My name is Jesse Blair-French. I am a Virgo, born August 26th or 1991. I live with my mom, Donna, and my dad, John. My mom is a paraeducator, and my father is a semi-famous drummer of a band you've probably never heard of unless you're a middle-aged British (and yes, I mean British, not English) man with a love for avant garde rock and roll.
I have lived in the same tiny town my whole life. It's really dull here, but I have met some amazing, life-long friends, as well as my boyfriend here. I live in a tiny blue-and-white house surrounded by big trees and I love it.
My favorite color is red, and my favorite band since the seventh grade (that's nearly 7 years ago!) is Avenged Sevenfold. I love those guys like family, which may sound weird, but I do. I could go on for ages about them but I'll save that for another time.
I recently became a redhead, but before that I was a blonde (and had been for nineteen years). I absolutely love it, and I feel more like a woman now.
But enough about me! Here's some wonderful people.
This is me with my wonderful boyfriend, Matt. This was taken on my birthday when he spoiled me rotten (took me to see Inception, and he even got dressed up to take me out to dinner! A TIE was worn! I died!).
He is a very intelligent, driven, hilarious, strong, wonderful man. I admire and adore him so much. He and I went from being friends in high school to being best friends our first year of college, and we started dating officially in June of this year, although the only thing that really changed by then was our relationship status on Facebook! I love his family (he has married parents, an older sister, a younger sister and two younger brothers, and I am totally jealous) and we share the same friends.
He's a computer science major (if I remember correctly-- I know he takes a loooot of computer science classes) and wants to go into the video game industry. He also loves cats, Robert Downey Jr. movies, and me. :)
This is my best friend, Shannen. She is fifteen days younger than me and goes to Humboldt State University, where I was originally supposed to go. We met in fifth grade, became friends (although I thought she was really weird and she she still would hang around with me, and once I stop letting my bitchy friend Gretchen order me around, I got to spend more time with her), and then became best friends in 6th grade. That hasn't changed since.
I miss her so much I could scream, as she lives in the northernmost part of California and I live in the southern. She is such an intelligent, hilarious person and I love her to pieces.
I got to visit her in Arcata this summer and I adored every second. She and I want to get matching tattoos someday (of our lucky number, 13), and we will. She has a really nice boyfriend named Nick (who took the above photo, adorable) who she is in a long-distance relationship with (so we can totally relate to each other). She loves Avenged Sevenfold, wolves, animals in general, rock music and fashion.
She's absolutely gorgeous and lovely and I adore her and miss her like crazy.
That's about it for the friend stuff. I only truly have two people that I can tell absolutely everything: Matt and Shannen. The other friends are lovely, but you'll be able to pick up on who they are and such very easily.
Now, since I feel like it, here's some pictures of media-related stuff I love!
My favorite band, to me, will always be these five men. In December of last year, the man on the very right, Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, died of an accidental overdose at the age of 28. At first, his best friends (from right: Johnny, Zacky, Matt, and Brian) decided they couldn't go on without him as Avenged Sevenfold. Later, though, once the shock had worn off and they'd done a lot of their grieving, they realized that Jimmy would have wanted them to keep playing, to keep on being the fantastic band they worked so hard to become.
Now, they're touring with Jimmy's favorite drummer, playing the music Jimmy loved and honoring his memory. Words cannot fully express how much I admire them for doing this, and how happy I am to see them honoring Jimmy this way.
Sorry if I rambled there, but I just admire these men so much and think they are the strongest individuals for doing what they do despite their tragic loss.
On another note, right now I am REALLY into The Vampire Diaries. I think it's a well-written, well-acted show and I love watching it. Yes, I have read the books, but I hated book Elena and like her much better in the show. Ian Somerhalder does my favorite character, Damon, more than justice, and Paul Wesley is a sweet, endearing Stefan. I love the changes the show has made with the plot, because it translates well to screen and keeps me watching. I'll probably mention this a lot.
This is an artist's portrayal of The Vampire Diaries (book version) of Bonnie. I wish my hair looked like that.
(500) Days of Summer is one of my favorite movies and I love both of these actors sooo much. Joseph reminds me a lot of my boyfriend, to be honest.
That's basically it, for now. Hopefully you get a feel for who I am and what I like through this!

I love that picture of your best friend and we have a lot of things in common!
